Create Service
When creating a service, begin by entering the service name, then select the appropriate category and subcategory. You’ll also need to complete the Transaction History Name. The service time should reflect both the duration of the service itself and any required recovery time.
Note:
Transaction History Name - The transaction history name displays in all areas the transaction history is visible, including the member's profile and mobile app.
On the left side of the page, you can enter the price for the service along with the service credit value. You can also add charges for tax, issue commissions, cancellation fees, and no-show fees.
Note:
Credit Redemption Amount - Bundles & Memberships issue service credits. Enter the credit amount the service requires.
In the Global Settings section, you will have the option to make the service global, meaning it will be available at all locations, or you can select specific locations where the service will be available.
In Service Design, you have the option to customize the service, including the Service Title and the service description. You can also upload a picture of the service and specify how it will appear on the website and mobile app.
Note:
Service Title - The service title should indicate what the service is or its value, for example: $10 Off or BOGO - Buy One Get One FREE. This actually defines what the customer will receive when they visit and redeem the service.
Service Description - Visible description on the service coupon.
The Service Rules section defines how the service will be managed regarding redemptions and rewards. You can choose whether to issue bonus points when members redeem the service. You can also specify whether redemptions should be manual or automatic, by default, it’s set to manual. Additionally, you can set an expiration date for the service and enter a Promo ID if the service includes a special offer or discount.
Note:
Manual - Manual redemption requires the member to press the redeem button.
Automatic - Automatic redemption redeems the service immediately when a transaction posts. Automatic redemption works well when issuing bonus points.
Rule - If there are more than one automatic redemption services in the member’s account, only one will redeem. The one that issues the most points is redeemed.
Service Expires - Services expire at 11:59 PM on the day of expiration. After expiration, the Service displays "expired" on the post- transaction screen and is no longer available in the Members profile.
Promo ID - The Promo ID is used to sync POS transactions and flag fraudulent transactions from the POS. Also, the Promo ID can be used for e-commerce discounts.
In Online Booking & Sale Price tab, you can enable whether the service is available for online booking and offer a sale price.
Note:
Online Booking - If selected, online booking is enabled for the location.
Sale Price - If selected, the sale price is enabled for the location.
In the Variant & Related section, you can create different versions of a service. For example, a haircut service might have variants like "Long Hair," "Mid Length Hair," and "Short Hair," each with a different price. Related services allow you to choose other services to associate with the current service, which helps in recommending or bundling related services.
The Service Restriction section provides options for managing the visibility, accessibility, and editing permissions of the service being created. The VIP hours toggle restricts the service to specific time slots reserved for VIP members. This section is essential for fine-tuning how and where a service is displayed and who can manage it internally.
Note:
VIP Booking - Only membership members can book during the scheduled time blocks.
