Custom Fields "Quick Tag Feature
Introduction
To Manage Custom Fields, go to Member List > Manage Custom Fields.
Custom Field Grid
To create a new Custom Field, press the New Record button. When created, it will be an option as a data field when creating a Member Wallet Form, Mobile App, or Tablet App setting on the Join Now page.
When you create a Custom Field, give it a name and turn the toggle On to Add to Menu on the View Member & View Transaction page. This is a wonderful way to tag members for marketing purposes.
- Every custom field has a particular type of data. For example, a First Name custom field will be a textbox. On the other hand, a Gender custom field will have radio buttons, as users can select from either ‘Male' or' Female. Here, you will need to select the Custom Field Type that is relevant to your Custom Field.
- Custom Field Name - Enter a name for this custom field. The name will appear in the member profile, tablet app, or mobile app signup form as an option to display. For example. First Name or Gender.
- Is This Field Required? - To make this field mandatory when adding a member to the back office, toggle the option On. If it is on, staff will be forced to enter a value for the custom field. To make the field mandatory for members joining, visit the submenu item titled “Form Field Settings" within each web form. If you are unsure, leave this option unselected.
On the "Manage Members" page, you can use the checkboxes to tag members based on their creation date or other important criteria, such as being a big spender. This is particularly useful for check-in programs, where you can tag your high-spending members. By tracking your big spenders, you can target them with more exclusive marketing campaigns and offers, which can help bring them back more often.
This same feature is available on the Manage Transactions page. This feature is the same as editing a member and updating the field inside the member's account; however, taking this approach is much easier.
