Introduction
In this article, we will discuss Managing and Creating Custom Fields.
To reach the Manage Custom Fields page or to create a new Custom Field, go to the New Record tab > Custom Field sub-tab or Member Lists tab > Manage Custom Fields sub-tab.

When reaching this page, the first step is to press the New Record button.
Custom Field Type
Next, you can choose the type of custom field you'd like to create.
- Custom Field Name - Enter a name for this custom field. The name will appear in the member profile signup form. For example. First Name or Gender.
Custom Field Details
To create a custom field, choose the Pick List type and list at least two options. You can also use a checkbox to select multiple items or a radio button to select only one. For example, name the question "Steak or chicken?" and choose whether it's mandatory. Then, list the values and click save.
- Is This Field Required - When adding a member in the back-office, select this option to make this field mandatory. If On, staff will be forced to enter a value for the custom field. To make the field mandatory for members joining via web wallet forms, mobile apps, and tablet apps, visit the submenu item titled “Form Field Settings" within each respective module. If you are unsure, leave this option unselected.
- Instructional Text - Enter in the instructions the user will see when prompted to select an option. This is usually instructions such as Please select an option.
To edit the custom field, click the name hyperlink or edit button. You can also select multiple items to delete or simply delete one at a time. You can also delete an item under the Action column.
