Introduction
In this article, we will explain how to use Progressive Points and how to enable them in your program. To activate Progressive Points, navigate to Tools and Settings > Games > Progressive Points.
Progressive Points role
The Progressive Points option is available only to users assigned a Progressive Points role. To enable this role, go to Users > Manage User Roles. Select the user role to which you want to grant access to Progressive Points. This can be assigned to the Biz Admin role or any other role available in your program. Once the role is enabled, Progressive Points will be accessible under the Games tab.
Progressive Points Grid
On the Progressive Points Page, you will find a setting similar to the Gamification tab. You have the option to schedule the progressive points and enable it for check-ins via the Mobile App or Tablet.
When you press "New Record," you will be directed to enter the details for the Progressive Points. Here, you can enter the name and choose whether to enable it for the Mobile App and Tablet.
Tablet Progressive Check-Ins
The Tablet Progressive Check-Ins tab allows you to select the locations where you want to enable progressive points. After choosing your locations, you can customize the check-in messages for each one. To add a check-in message, simply click the “Add” button.
For “Issue Points For Message,” select the “Bonus Point Multiplier” option to enable progressive points for your members.
NOTE:
Check-Ins Points
- Issue Check-Ins Points - The setting follows standard program rules. If each Check-Ins = 1 point, then I point will be issued per Check-Ins. If in doubt, use this setting as it’s the most common.
- Do Not Issue Check-Ins Points - If on, no points are issued per Check- Ins. The setting is typical in businesses that offer points for spending but wish to offer a special offer discount when entering a business location and checking-in on the app for the daily deal.
- Bonus Point Multiplier - A common setting to use if issuing random double or triple-point Check-Ins points. For instance, every 4th Check-Ins or randomly issue as a prize. To learn more, visit the tooltip on the Message & Send Order dropdown above.
To establish a Progressive Point system, you should include several check-in messages that award members additional points for each check-in. If members are allowed to check in every 60 minutes, they will have a 120-minute window for the next check-in to be considered progressive. For example, in the first check-in message, you could award 1 point for the initial check-in. In the subsequent message, you might award 1.5 points, and in the third message, you would give 2 points. You can continue to increase the points for each following check-in. If there are only three messages available and a member continues to check in, they will receive the points from the last message in the sequence (the third one).
Mobile Progressive Check-Ins
Mobile Progressive Check-Ins are configured in a way similar to Tablet Progressive Check-Ins. The key difference is that you now have the option to choose how to notify the member. You can select either a push notification or a pop-up message on the mobile app. Once you have completed the setup process, fill out any additional required forms, and then click "Save."
