Introduction

To Import Transactions, go to the Transactions tab > Manage transactions sub-tab

On the page in the upper right-hand corner, there is a drop-down next to the New Record button and a sub-tab dropdown titled Import Transactions.

On the slide-out, the first step is to enter an email that will be notified when the transactions have been processed. After entering, if you do not have a CSV file already, you can download a sample CSV file.

NOTE:

  • Notification Email - This email will receive notification when the upload is complete and processed.

  • The transaction key is not required if you're a point-of-sale system or wherever the data is stored. If there's a transaction key, that key can be used to verify that the transaction is, in fact, unique. This can be very beneficial if there's a large number of transactions being uploaded,
  • If there are multiple locations, these will be listed here.
  • An email, a mobile number, or a member card ID is required. One of them is needed, but not all. Each member may have one of these fields or multiple of these fields. However, for a transaction to process, every transaction must have either an email, mobile, or member card ID.
  • The amount field and the transaction date and time are entered here. The time is optional; however, if not entered, each transaction will display as if it was processed at midnight.
  • The employee ID found inside of the system.
  • An offer ID, if one were redeemed, the offer ID would be placed here.

Once completed, the file can be dragged and dropped onto this area here, or the document can be searched for.

If choosing to make members' transactions historical, they will display as past transactions. They are for the members' data purposes only to view past transactions. Historical transactions will not update the member profile points and triggers will not be sent. If the unique transaction key is required, no triggers will be sent. Once finished, press start importing, and the transactions will begin the import process and send you an email once complete.

NOTE:

  • Historical Data - If checked, transactions uploaded are for historical data purposes only. Transaction history will be shown in the Member's wallet, and historical financial spending will be displayed. Entries will not be added to the member account, and triggers will not be sent.

When "Send Tx Trigger if Available" is enabled, a trigger (such as a Thank You message) will automatically be sent after a transaction is successfully imported. If "Check-In Wait Times via Program Rule" is enabled, the system checks the defined wait time during import. Transactions that occur within this wait period will not be processed.

NOTE:

  • Send Tx Trigger if Available - If a "Thank You" trigger is active, the trigger will schedule & send based on the trigger rules.
  • Check-In Wait Times - If enabled, the import will treat the transaction as if the member made an on-site check-in & follow program check-in rules, i.e., if the rules are set to allow one transaction every 60 min, after the import, the member must wait 60 min before their next check-in.
