Location Settings

Introduction

In this article, we will discuss Location Settings

The Location Settings are found at the Tools and Settings icon > Settings tab > Location Settings sub-tab.

Location Settings Grid

On the Location Settings page, you will see how many locations your user has been given access to, how many locations are active.

You may perform bulk actions against all locations by choosing to activate or deactivate a locationactivate or deactivate GEO Check-Ins if offering this feature, or hide visibility to members in the mobile app and member wallet.

You may edit the location by clicking the Name or going over to the edit icon button. You may also copy the location by clicking the Action column setting. Each location is assigned an ID used for API integrations.

On the Date Range Filter, you can select a date range to see the appropriate statistics Points Issued and Points Redeemed stats.

You may customize the view by clicking on the Column Filter.

Create New Location

Press the New Record button in either place to create a new location.

You may also choose to upload bulk locations by selecting a sample CSV, downloading, making the necessary adjustments, uploading the CSV file, and pressing the upload button.

Location Information

After pressing the New Record icon, you can add the location name, a location number, which is typically for internal tracking and POS integrations, and the location owner's first name and last name.

NOTE:
  • Location Name - This is the location name used on web forms, offers, and transactions. Use a location number for internal organization or when a location uses the same POS location ID and has multiple internal location transactions, they would like to map.

You can enter the opening and closing times and the time zone for the location. Choose to acknowledge daylight savings time or ignore. Daylight savings time is important for proper time stamp tracking. Enter the business's address and contact information. This information is displayed inside the mobile application and the member wallet.

NOTE:
  • Open Time - Enter the time the business opens.
  • Closing Time - Enter the time the business closes.

Location Image

If you'd like the location to have an image associated with the business, you can add it here. If all locations in the reward program are the same business, you may choose not to upload an icon; however, if each location is a different business participating in a global type of reward program, this is a great tool.

NOTE:

  • Logo Image - The optimum image size is displayed, but any size will work and format accordingly.

Integrations

If using POS integration, choose your provider here and enter the unique location ID assigned by the POS provider.

NOTE:
  • This ID is provided by the POS provider to link transactions to the appropriate location.

Custom Column

If you have custom columns used for back office location organization, you may enter those here. You can also provide extra point days here. Each program can offer additional point days or times of the day at the global level. However, an individual location may override those settings by doing so here.

NOTE:
  • To Organize Locations, create custom columns that display on the back-office grid. Internal use only.
  • Monthly Schedule - The monthly schedule is the point schedule for the program’s location. Scheduling here overrides the program schedule. To create an ongoing weekly schedule, click the template button.

Tablet Popup Text Override

Additionally, if a location is using a tablet, they may override the default settings here.

Add Categories

If the location is part of a category or needs to be created, this can be done in the Add Categories section. Categories include restaurants, retail stores, ice cream creameries, bowling alleys, hair salons, automotive stores, and so on, and are designed particularly for programs that support multiple industries. You can choose to name the filter here as well. You can also hide this location in the member’s wallet and only display it in the back office for tracking purposes.

NOTE:
  • To organize locations, create location categories that can be filtered in the member profile on the locations page.
